Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout following best practices for various bag types
- Ensure at least five items per bag without causing damage
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Help customers load bags into their cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Provide excellent customer service by answering product questions
- Follow local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in fast-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help when necessary
- Support direct interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
