Job Duties

  • Bag groceries at checkout for customers
  • Strive to place at least five items per bag while preventing damage
  • Follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
  • Assist customers with removing merchandise from bottom of baskets
  • Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
  • Perform basic shelf conditioning
  • Inform customers of grocery specials
  • Return merchandise to store shelves
  • Gather and return bascarts to designated areas
  • Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
  • Clean all areas inside and outside the store
  • Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
  • Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
  • Follow local, state and federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced and stressful environment
  • Manage conflict calmly and professionally
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
