Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring items are undamaged
- Follow best practices for using various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist with removing merchandise from customers' carts for checkout
- Offer help to customers with loading bags into their cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather carts and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and report equipment needing repairs
- Create a welcoming and appreciative environment for customers
- Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
