Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to bag at least five items per bag while ensuring items are not damaged
- Follow best practices for bagging in different types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning tasks
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and in the parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and identify any unsafe conditions or issues to management
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment and report need for repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
