Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging various bag types including reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from baskets for checkout
- Offer help loading bags into customers' vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot
- Maintain cleanliness of all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product questions
- Report any safety risks, illegal activities, or violations
- Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
