Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage
- follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- assist customers in removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather baskets and return to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- clean all areas inside and outside store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- adhere to all food safety regulations
- perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- comply with all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
