Job Duties

  • Bag groceries at checkout for customers
  • strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage
  • follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
  • assist customers in removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
  • offer help loading bags into customers' cars
  • perform basic shelf conditioning
  • inform customers of grocery specials
  • return merchandise to store shelves
  • gather baskets and return to designated areas
  • clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
  • clean all areas inside and outside store
  • handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
  • locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
  • reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • adhere to all food safety regulations
  • perform preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • create a welcoming environment for customers
  • comply with all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • manage conflict nonconfrontationally
  • act with honesty and integrity
