Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items per bag without damaging contents
- follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- assist customers by removing items from the bottom of baskets
- offer help with loading bags into customers’ cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather and return bascarts to designated areas
- clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot
- clean all areas inside and outside the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions
- adhere to all food safety regulations
- perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs
- create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity about customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
