Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to bag a minimum of five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging using various bag types including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of their baskets
- Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking
- Inform customers about current grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot
- Handle assembly of seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and notify management of maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
