Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive to have at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of carts
- offer help loading bags into customers' vehicles
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to shelves
- gather and return baskets to designated areas
- clean spills and collect trash inside and outside the store
- clean store areas including parking lot
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- adhere to all food safety regulations
- inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
- create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- comply with all local, state, federal laws, and company policies
- work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
