Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage to contents
- follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- assist in unloading customer merchandise from baskets
- offer help with loading bags into customers' vehicles
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to shelves
- gather and return baskets to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash in store and parking lot
- clean interior and exterior store areas
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- understand store layout and locate products
- conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management
- adhere to food safety regulations
- inspect equipment and report repair needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- comply with local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in fast-paced environments
- manage conflict calmly and reasonably
- act with honesty and integrity regarding business information
- follow directions and seek assistance as needed
