Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive to bag at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- follow best practices for bagging various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- assist in removing merchandise from customers' carts for checkout
- offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather shopping carts and return them to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot
- clean all areas inside and outside the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management
- adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
