Job Duties
- Bag groceries at check out for customers
- Strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags such as reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of baskets
- Offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and locate products
- Conduct price checks for cashiers
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and occasionally stressful environment
- Manage conflict reasonably, non-confrontationally and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
