Job Duties
- Bag groceries efficiently and carefully at checkout for customers
- Strive to bag at least five items per bag while avoiding damage
- Follow best practices for handling various bag types including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout
- Offer to help customers load bags into their cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Collect and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot
- Maintain cleanliness in all store areas inside and outside
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise displays
- Locate products in the store and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product questions
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
