Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- follow best practices for bagging in various bag types
- assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of baskets
- offer help loading bags into customer vehicles
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather and return baskets to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash inside and outside the store
- clean all areas in and around the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- understand store layout and locate products
- conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- adhere to food safety regulations
- inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- create a welcoming environment and answer customer questions
- follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- manage conflicts reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- act with honesty and integrity
- follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
