Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to bag at least five items with care to avoid damage
- Follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from baskets and loading bags into cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to store shelves
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment and report needed repairs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- Follow local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and stressful environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
