Job Duties
- Bag groceries for customers at checkout
- strive to bag at least five items per customer with care to prevent damage
- follow best practices for using various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- assist customers by removing merchandise from carts and loading bags into their vehicles
- perform basic shelf stocking and conditioning
- inform customers about grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather and return shopping carts to designated areas
- clean spills and collect trash inside the store and in the parking lot
- clean all areas inside and outside the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise displays
- locate products within the store and conduct price checks for cashiers
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or accidents
- adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
- inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
- create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products
- follow all local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- manage conflict in a reasonable and nonconfrontational manner
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
- provide support through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
