Job Duties

  • Bag groceries for customers at checkout
  • Strive for at least five items per bag while ensuring no damage
  • Follow best practices for bagging various bag types
  • Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of baskets
  • Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
  • Perform basic shelf conditioning
  • Inform customers of grocery specials
  • Return merchandise to store shelves
  • Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas
  • Clean spills and collect trash inside and outside the store
  • Clean all store areas
  • Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
  • Understand store layout and conduct price checks
  • Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to food safety regulations
  • Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Create welcoming environment by answering customer questions
  • Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity
