Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging various types of bags such as reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of bascarts
- Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Identify unsafe conditions and notify management
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment for maintenance needs and report issues
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- Comply with local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment
- Manage conflict nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business info
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without accommodation
