Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to bag at least five items without damage
- Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable/plastic/paper)
- Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout
- Offer help to customers with loading bags into their car
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and locate products
- Conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Manage conflict respectfully
- Act with honesty and integrity
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
