Job Duties
- Bag groceries for customers at checkout
- Strive to place at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging various types of bags including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Perform preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needs
- Provide a welcoming environment through helpful customer interaction
- Follow all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in fast-paced environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance as needed
- Support interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
