Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive to place at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging in various bag types including reusable, plastic, and paper
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Collect and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and in the parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and locate products
- Conduct price checks for cashiers
- Enforce safety programs by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering product questions
- Follow all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines
- Work cooperative in a high-paced environment
- Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
- Provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
- Perform essential functions of the role with or without accommodation
