Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for efficient bagging of at least five items while ensuring no damage to merchandise
- Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist in removing customer merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help to customers with loading bags into their cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning tasks
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all indoor and outdoor areas of the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and reporting issues
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and report repair needs
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Follow local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
