Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- follow best practices for bagging using reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of basket for checkout
- offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather baskets and return them to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- clean areas inside and outside of store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- locate products and conduct price checks
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- adhere to food safety regulations
- inspect equipment and report repair needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- comply with local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
