Job Duties
- Bag groceries for customers at checkout
- Strive for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging items in different bag types (reusable, plastic, paper)
- Assist customers with removing merchandise from the bottom of the basket
- Offer help loading bags into customers’ cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside and outside the store
- Assemble and handle seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and help with price checks
- Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies
- Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer information
- Follow directions and seek help when necessary
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
