Job Duties
- Bag groceries for customers at checkout ensuring five items per bag without damage
- Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, or paper bags
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer help to load groceries into customers' vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and ensure shelves are stocked
- Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions
- Clean spills, pick up trash inside and outside the store, and maintain cleanliness throughout
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise displays
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions to management
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Inspect equipment for maintenance issues and report repairs
- Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws along with company policies
- Work cooperatively within a high-paced, sometimes stressful retail environment
- Manage conflict respectfully and professionally
- Act honestly and with integrity in handling customer and business information
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults through direct interaction
