Job Duties

  • Bag groceries at checkout for customers
  • strive to bag at least five items while ensuring no damage
  • follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags
  • assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of basket
  • help customers load bags into their car
  • perform basic shelf conditioning
  • inform customers of grocery specials
  • return merchandise to store shelves
  • gather shopping carts and return them to designated areas
  • clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
  • clean all areas inside and outside the store
  • handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
  • understand store layout and locate products
  • conduct price checks for cashiers
  • reinforce safety by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions
  • adhere to food safety regulations
  • perform preventive maintenance and report equipment needs
  • create welcoming environment by answering product questions
  • follow local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
  • work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
  • manage conflicts reasonably and cooperatively
  • act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • follow directions and seek assistance when needed
  • provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
