Job Requirements

  • Ability to bag groceries carefully without damaging items

Job Duties

  • Bag groceries at checkout for customers
  • Strive to bag at least five items while preventing damage
  • Follow best practices for bagging items using various bag types
  • Assist customers with removing merchandise from cart for checkout
  • Offer help with loading bags into customers' cars
  • Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to shelves
  • Clean spills and collect trash inside the store and parking lot
  • Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
  • Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
  • Comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
  • Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Inspect equipment and report items needing repair
  • Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with product inquiries
  • Manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary
  • Provide support and assistance to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
  • Perform all essential functions with or without accommodation
