Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout with care
- strive to bag at least five items without damage
- follow best practices for bagging reusable, plastic, or paper bags
- assist customers by removing merchandise from bottom of bascarts
- offer help loading bags into customers' cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to shelves
- gather bascarts and return to designated areas
- clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- clean all areas inside and outside the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- understand store layout and conduct price checks
- comply with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- adhere to all food safety regulations
- conduct preventive maintenance inspections and notify management of repairs
- create a welcoming environment by answering product questions
- follow local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in high-paced environments
- manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
