Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- strive for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- follow best practices for bagging various types of bags
- assist in removing customers' merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- offer to help customers load bags into their cars
- perform basic shelf conditioning
- inform customers of grocery specials
- return merchandise to store shelves
- gather and return baskets to designated areas
- clean spills and collect trash inside and outside the store
- clean all areas inside and outside of the store
- handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- understand store layout and conduct price checks
- reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions
- adhere to food safety regulations
- inspect equipment and report repair needs
- create a welcoming environment for customers
- comply with local, state, federal laws and company guidelines
- work cooperatively in a high-paced environment
- manage conflict in a nonconfrontational manner
- act with honesty and integrity
- follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
