Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items per bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging items in reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers by removing merchandise from shopping carts
- Offer assistance with loading bags into customers' cars
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers of grocery specials
- Return merchandise to store shelves
- Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas
- Clean spills and collect trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Locate products and conduct price checks for cashiers
- Report unsafe conditions or accidents to management
- Adhere to all food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Follow all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful situations
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
