Job Duties
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers
- Strive for at least five items in each bag while preventing damage
- Follow best practices for bagging using reusable, plastic, and paper bags
- Assist customers in removing merchandise from the bottom of baskets
- Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles
- Perform basic shelf conditioning
- Inform customers about grocery specials
- Return merchandise to shelves
- Gather and return baskets to designated areas
- Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
- Clean all areas inside and outside the store
- Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
- Understand store layout and locate products
- Conduct price checks for cashiers
- Adhere to safety programs and report unsafe conditions
- Follow all food safety regulations
- Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
- Create a welcoming environment for customers
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws and company policies
- Work cooperatively in high-paced environments
- Manage conflict reasonably and nonconfrontationally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
- Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
