Job Requirements
- True open availability including weekends
- Ability to lift objects up to approximately 50 pounds
- Strength to push and maneuver shopping carts
- Good attendance record
- Ability to comply with grooming and dress code standards
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders
- Age 18 or over to operate bailer, compacter, and electric pallet jack
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Ability to safely negotiate parking areas and work in varying weather conditions
- Must perform duties with honesty and integrity
Job Qualifications
- Good communication and interpersonal skills exhibiting tact, courtesy and composure
- Basic reading and oral communication skills
- Sufficient visual acuity to read labels and shelf tags
- Ability to frequently lift and maneuver items up to 50 pounds
- Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination
- Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for extended periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach frequently and occasionally climb ladders
- Knowledge of product location, proper bagging procedures and company policies
- Mental alertness to ensure safe completion of work activities
- Ability to utilize cleaning supplies and equipment
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
Job Duties
- Greets and thanks customers as they shop in the store
- Maintains an atmosphere of focused, enthusiastic, friendly, and courteous service
- Assists customers with product location, bagging orders and providing carry-out service
- Obtains or exchanges product per customer request
- Verifies prices, returns merchandise from check stand area to display area in compliance with company policy
- Retrieves shopping carts from parking lot and ensures adequate supply of bags in check stands
- Complies with and maintains company cleanliness and safety standards in check stand area, store aisles, entryways, breakroom, restrooms, offices, backroom, and parking lot
- Completes sweep log and restroom cleaning log as necessary
- Operates bailer, compacter, and electric pallet jack if age 18 and over according to company procedures
- Performs all job duties with honesty and integrity in compliance with company policies and procedures
