Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle type
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration medical and safety standards
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to communicate in English verbally and reading
- Ability to maintain alertness and safety while driving
- Ability to use equipment to maneuver heavy packages
- Neat personal appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Good human relations skills
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in safe and alert manner
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs
- Meet Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations section 391 qualifications
- Medical exam in compliance with FMCSA
Job Duties
- Deliver and pick up packages courteously and efficiently
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- Provide related customer service functions
- Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain neat appearance suitable for customer contact
- Adhere to Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
