Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years old
- high school diploma or GED
- licensed to operate assigned vehicle
- able to lift 50 lbs
- ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance
- meet federal motor carrier safety regulations including medical exam
- ability to read and speak English
- good human relations skills
- neat appearance
- ability to work safely and alertly throughout shift
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle type
- minimum 21 years of age
- three years of driving experience preferred
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with safety officials
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- ability to lift and maneuver packages with assistance
- medical exam clearance in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
- compliance with section 391 of Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
Job Duties
- operate company vehicles safely and efficiently
- provide courteous and timely delivery and pick-up of packages
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service
- provide customer service during deliveries and pickups
- adhere to federal motor carrier safety regulations
- perform required medical exams and maintain qualifications
- handle packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
- maintain neat appearance and professional conduct
- work alertly and safely at all times
