Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with assistance
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Must meet qualifications in section 391 of FMCSA safety regulations
- Medical exam required
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and speak English to understand traffic signs and communicate with safety officials
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the assigned vehicle type
- Ability to lift and maneuver packages up to 50 lbs and heavier with assistance
- Strong verbal communication and human relations skills
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently for traffic and safety communication
- Knowledge of federal safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Medical certification in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver and pick up packages
- Check shipments for compliance with FedEx service features
- Provide courteous and professional customer service during deliveries
- Handle packages with care, lifting up to 50 lbs and using appropriate equipment for heavier items
- Adhere to federal and company safety regulations, including FMCSA guidelines
- Maintain neat appearance and professionalism when interacting with customers
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
