Job Requirements
- must be at least 21 years of age
- must pass a medical exam according to FMCSA regulations
- must be licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- ability to lift 50 lbs
- ability to work a part-time schedule including Saturdays
- ability to read and understand English traffic signs and directions
- meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of federal motor carrier safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- valid driver’s license for assigned vehicle type
- ability to read and speak English for traffic and customer communication
- good human relations and verbal communication skills
- ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance
- knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations
- ability to work safely and stay alert for extended periods
- neat and professional appearance
Job Duties
- drive and operate company vehicles for package delivery and pick-up
- check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
- provide courteous and efficient customer service during deliveries
- perform loading and unloading of packages
- adhere to federal motor carrier safety regulations
- maintain neat appearance and professional interactions with customers
- perform other related duties as assigned
