Job Requirements
- Licensed for the type of vehicle assigned
- Ability to maintain neat appearance since customer contact may be required
- Drivers of vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations
- Ability to comply with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration enforcement guidance
- Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with appropriate equipment or assistance
Job Duties
- Operate company vehicles to deliver packages courteously and efficiently
- Provide related customer service functions during deliveries
- Maintain continuous alertness and follow safety protocols while driving
- Lift and maneuver packages up to and over 50 lbs using appropriate equipment or assistance
- Communicate effectively with customers, traffic officials, and team members
- Ensure neat appearance and professional conduct during customer interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
