Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
- One year of customer service experience preferred
- Demonstrates skills and competencies for safe job performance
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively with patients and staff
- Basic computer knowledge
- Practice universal precautions at all times
- Knowledge of isolation, infection control, and safety procedures
- Ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships

Job Duties
- Transport medications, laboratory specimens, medical records, and patient belongings accurately and efficiently
- Sort and organize specimens and medications for delivery
- Deliver items between pharmacy, laboratory, nursing units, and physician offices within time standards
- Operate the pneumatic tube system for medication delivery and separate items not suitable for tube transport
- Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and co-workers
- Document delivery trips accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Adhere to safety protocols and assist in quality improvement initiatives
