Job Requirements
- Must speak, read, and understand English fluently and clearly
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move approximately 15 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, climb, and reach daily
- Ability to perform tasks requiring sustained repetitive motion and/or fine motor skills
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic including percentages
- Ability to read and write effectively
- Ability to read or understand diagrams
- Ability to sustain direct contact with the public
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Food Handler Certificate
- TIPS Certification
- Minimum one year of experience as a barista or bartender
- Prior experience in customer service preferred
- Fluent in English
- Ability to operate point-of-sale equipment
- Strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, and alcoholic beverages
- Take orders and serve baked goods and sandwiches
- Describe menu items and suggest products that might appeal to guests
- Order, receive, and stock supplies or retail products
- Provide room service to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the counter and store area
- Use upselling and suggestive selling techniques to increase sales
