Job Requirements
- Ability to work effectively under supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs regularly
- Basic forklift operation skills preferred (training available if needed)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to read and understand product codes, location codes, and inventory labels
- Ability to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear frequently
- Willingness to follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Willingness to pass background check, physical examination, and drug test
- Must be able to work in physical and environmental conditions including exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of plumbing products preferred
- Customer service or counter sales experience in plumbing or related industries preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse systems
- Basic proficiency in MS Office
- Strong math skills for order entry, pricing, and cash handling
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Willingness to learn and grow plumbing product knowledge
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers at the counter, assisting with plumbing product needs
- Use plumbing product knowledge to recommend appropriate materials and help customers make informed purchasing decisions
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through reliable service and effective follow-through
- Accurately enter and process customer orders, quotes, returns, and branch transfers
- Provide pricing, availability, and job quotes for plumbing materials as needed
- Receive, inspect, stock, and organize plumbing inventory to ensure accuracy and accessibility
- Safely load and unload plumbing materials for customer pickup and deliveries
