Job Requirements
- Possess one year of food service experience or training in an institutional hospital military or commercial food service operation
- or twelve semester hours in food and nutrition dietetics or institutional management
- must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R S 15 587 1 c
- pass a drug screening test
- possess a valid Louisiana Driver's License
- clear a background check
- authorize prior employer contact for PREA compliance
Job Qualifications
- One year of food service experience or training in an institutional hospital military or commercial food service operation
- or twelve semester hours in food and nutrition dietetics or institutional management
Job Duties
- Prepare cook and serve meals in accordance with facility menus and dietary guidelines
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen dining and storage areas
- supervise youth assigned to food service duties ensuring safety and compliance
- operate kitchen equipment and follow institutional food safety protocols
- assist with inventory storage and portion control
- uphold confidentiality mandatory reporting and trauma-informed care standards
- participate in PREA training and other required onboarding programs
