Job Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • experience in food preparation and supervision
  • ability to train and instruct others
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work holidays and every other weekend
  • willingness to travel as needed
  • ability to use computer software for recipe preparation

Job Qualifications

  • Experience preparing and directing others in cooking and baking foods such as meats, vegetables, breads, desserts, bag lunches, and special occasion meals
  • experience training or teaching others food preparation, cooking, baking, meat cutting, and processing skills
  • experience maintaining cleanliness and ensuring food safety
  • knowledge of sanitation standards and compliance

Job Duties

  • Oversee daily production of meals
  • plan menus and procure supplies
  • train and supervise Persons In Our Care (PIOC) food service workers
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • ensure food safety compliance
  • communicate dietary and menu changes to staff
  • care for and clean kitchen equipment
