Job Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen if applicable
- Undergo criminal background checks and fingerprinting
- Ability to work holidays, weekends, and other shifts as directed
- Capable of physical activities including lifting, carrying, bending, walking, standing, and pushing/pulling
- Willingness to work on-site, no remote work allowed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service environments
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a food service environment including handling, preparing, and cooking/baking food
- Knowledge of standardized recipes
- Experience maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Experience in food safety
- Experience leading or overseeing the work of others, including training and instructing staff
- Ability to assign and review workloads
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to food service operations
Job Duties
- Prepare and distribute food for dining room and tray lines on assigned shifts
- Function as lead worker by assigning and reviewing work of Corrections Food Service Leader 2 staff
- Train and lead new staff members
- Direct offenders in the production, distribution, and service of food
- Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Oversee compliance with departmental policies
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, bending, walking, standing, and pushing/pulling carts
