Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED certificate, or proof of education completion
- one year of experience in commercial food service or related establishment
- must obtain Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of hire
- ability to manage teams of 40 or more individuals
- experience managing or supervising kitchens
- knowledge of food temperature safety and sanitation
- ability to follow security procedures
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
- basic computer skills
- current state employees applying for job rotation must attach supervisor approval
Job Qualifications

- associate's degree in Food Service Management or related field preferred
- team and crew management experience
- experience managing kitchen operations
- demonstrated cooking skills across various foods
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation

- ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certificate
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Coordinate the work flow and assign work to Adult in Custody (AIC) workers
- direct AIC crews to ensure enforcement of rules, policies, procedures, and security guidelines
- instruct and train AICs on safe, sanitary, and efficient food preparation and service
- assign AIC work and evaluate performance
- conduct searches of AICs and area for contraband
- monitor area cleanliness, sanitation, and order
- direct food preparation according to menu and safety standards
