Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
one year experience in institutional food preparation or commercial food service management or as a Correctional Officer
eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays
capability to handle mandatory overtime
effective written and verbal communication skills
proficiency with computer data management

Job Qualifications

one year of experience in institutional food preparation and food services or commercial food service management or as a Correctional Officer
eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
strong communication skills
ability to manage inventory and rotate supplies
knowledge of nutritional values and menu specifications

Job Duties

Supervising offenders in assigned food preparation and service areas
providing food production training to offenders
overseeing large-scale food production and food services
maintaining all food service equipment properly
managing inventory levels including ordering supplies
ensuring sanitary food handling practices
maintaining accurate computer and written records related to food service operations
