Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One to three years of related experience depending on officer level
- Eligibility for state certification
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to manage offender supervision and food service operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Compliance with state employment policies
Job Qualifications

- Experience in institutional food preparation and services
- Experience in commercial food service management
- Experience as a correctional officer
- Certification eligibility by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to supervise and train offenders
Job Duties
- Supervising offenders in food preparation and service areas
- Providing food production training to offenders
- Ensuring proper maintenance of food service equipment
- Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies
- Enforcing sanitary food handling practices
- Monitoring adherence to menu specifications
- Maintaining accurate records and computer data
