Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of relevant experience in institutional food preparation, food services, commercial food service management, or as a Correctional Officer
- Eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
- Willingness to work various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain equipment and manage inventory
- Ability to follow instructions and handle data accurately
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience in institutional food preparation and food services or management of commercial food service operations or as a Correctional Officer
- Eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
- Considerable knowledge of large-scale food production and food service activities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and maintain sanitary standards
Job Duties
- Supervising offenders performing food preparation and service tasks
- Providing training to offenders in food production
- Managing inventory of food and supplies including rotation and ordering
- Maintaining proper sanitation and food safety standards
- Ensuring accurate completion of food service documentation and computer records
- Overseeing maintenance of food service equipment
- Communicating effectively with staff and offenders
