Job Requirements

  • High school or GED diploma
  • One year of experience in institutional food preparation and services or commercial food service management or Correctional Officer experience
  • Eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
  • Ability to work any shift including rotating, fixed, or split shifts
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime as required
  • Commitment to maintaining sanitary food handling and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school or GED diploma
  • Experience in institutional food preparation and service or commercial food service management
  • Experience as a Correctional Officer considered an asset
  • Knowledge of large-scale food production
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission

Job Duties

  • Supervising offenders in food preparation and service areas
  • Providing food production training to offenders
