Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Three or more years progressive sales experience
- Previous experience in hospitality preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of hotel management systems such as Delphi
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work varied shifts and hours
- Ability to lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Must be able to perform frequent walking, standing and sitting
- Must be proactive and able to initiate sales
- Ability to research markets independently
Job Qualifications
- Minimum three years progressive sales experience
- Previous hospitality industry experience preferred
- Experience selling luxury brands and experiential services preferred
- Aggressive negotiation and creative selling skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Delphi and Delphi Diagrams
- Strong customer development and relationship management skills
- Knowledge of banquet and event service operations
- Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories
- Financial management skills including budgeting and forecasting
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Strong customer and associate relation skills
- Excellent presentation and closing skills
- Effective decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Builds department top line revenue by adhering to sales strategies
- Identifies and pursues new revenue opportunities
- Meets and exceeds individual revenue goals
- Manages customer budgets effectively
- Builds and strengthens customer relationships
- Conducts customer site inspections
- Creates and manages sales contracts
- Forecasts group sleeping rooms and revenue accurately
- Ensures high level of customer satisfaction
- Coordinates event details with customers
- Acts as primary sales contact on property
- Mentors others in the sales process
- Responds promptly to inquiries
- Oversees customer hand-off to Convention Services
- Demonstrates leadership in guest hospitality
- Participates in corrective action planning
- Adheres to company operating principles
- Addresses conflicts timely
- Manages work execution efficiently
- Pursues self-development and talent generation
- Shares knowledge and best practices
- Makes informed decisions
