Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marketing, or related disciplines
- six plus years of corporate meeting planning experience
- ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- proficiency in event management software and tools
- strong organizational and negotiation skills
- willingness to travel to various conference locations
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Six plus years of corporate meeting planning experience
- bachelor's degree in hospitality management, marketing, or related disciplines
- experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry preferred
- certified meeting professional (CMP) preferred
Job Duties
- Organizes participation in 30+ professional conferences
- exercises judgment in recommending participation levels
- coordinates project teams managing all pre-conference logistics
- organizes staff attendance, communications, and timelines
- plans and directs packing and shipping of exhibit materials
- leads conference/event strategy discussions with stakeholders and senior leaders
- manages stakeholder communication and conflict resolution
- oversees midsize events with sales objectives
- negotiates vendor contracts
- manages event RSVPs
- creates strategic and tactical event plans
- provides on-site event support
- evaluates return on investment for conference activities
- conducts post-conference reconciliation and reporting
- identifies areas for conference process improvement
- contributes to other marketing areas when needed
